About Us
| A Note from the Captain: Start Trekkin is in fact the greatest comedy experience you will ever have. Each episode is a fully impovised explosion of the Universe created by Star Trek. A new crew and a new ship explore the universe every time, taking on the single most exciting problems sentient life has ever encountered. This is a full hour-length narrative created before your very eyes and based on your suggestions. |
| Start Trekkin originated as a Long-form comedy format with BATS (Bay Area Theatre Sports), and one of their venerable instructors took the format to Austin, TX. There it took root as an extremely popular show, now in its 4th run. Ben Sterling, a former member of the Austin Theatre Sports (now Heroes of Comedy) learned the craft with them, and finished an outstanding season with a final performance at the 2005 Las Vegas Star Trek Convention. Since then Ben Sterling (Director and Captain) has given birth to Start Trekkin NY, the newest and perchance the greatest incarnation of the craft. |

| We have been seen for the past year in Times Square, at the Sage Theatre, The Tank Theatre, and featured on the Joey Reynolds show on WOR.
